Your Dog Needs A Ride

Your Dog Needs a Ride to Bark for Life on August 12.

Listen carefully! That sound your dog is making doesn’t mean he wants to go outside. She isn’t warning you about a hostile letter carrier. There are no squirrels needing supervision.

Your Dog is telling you to mark your calendar for Saturday, August 12 because he’ll need a ride to Bark for Life at Barker’s Island Pavilion in Superior, WI. Registration, which starts at 9 a.m., is $25 for each human/dog team. Each dog will receive a stylish Bark for Life bandana.

Bark for Life is a short, noncompetitive dog walk beginning at 10 a.m., followed by obedience and agility demonstrations by the Twin Ports Dog Training Club. Folks will also have a chance to meet therapy dogs and learn about therapy dog training. Your dog is invited to demonstrate her heeling skills in a spirited game of Balance the Potato. There will be dog friendly merchandise for sale.

Barker’s Island Pavilion is located at 15 Marina Drive in Superior, near the Superior Farmers’

Market, which will be open during Bark for Life. Funds raised support the American Cancer

Society’s Relay for Life.

For more information and to register go to Bark For Life or you can register at the event. For more information, please contact Marjorie Johnson at 218.428.3040.
